Expired Vehicle Registration and Expired Driver’s License
This charge may be dismissed if the defendant remedies this defect and shows written proof to the Court within 20 working days after the offense or before the defendant’s first court appearance, whichever is later. A fine of $20 must accompany proof. You may email proof of renewed registration to woodwaycourt@woodwaymail.org or fax (254) 776-5178 and then call the court to pay the $20 fee by credit card.

Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility
This charge will be dismissed upon presentation of evidence from the insurance company that insurance was in effect on the date the citation was issued. This must come directly from the insurance company to ensure there were no breaks in coverage. Your insurance agent may fax or email proof. For confidential reasons, the court clerk will not contact the agent for you.
In the event you did not have insurance at the time of the citation but you obtain insurance prior to coming to Court, the Judge will reduce the fine and court costs to $150. Proof can be sent via email, uploaded online here, or brought in person. A deferred disposition request must be completed as well.
Driving While License Invalid
This charge may be granted deferred disposition if defendant appears timely, signs agreement requiring the defendant to provide proof of a valid driver’s license and pay $150 within 90 days. Call the court at (254) 772-4489 regarding this agreement.
