The Sanitation Services Division is managed out of City Hall at 922 Estates Drive and is responsible for the collection and disposal of solid waste within the City of Woodway. The City contracts with Frontier Waste Solutions for all residential trash, recycling, and brush in addition to commercial hand pickup, dumpsters, and roll-offs. The Utility Billing Department inside Customer Service at City Hall serves as the City’s liaison with our disposal company.
Trash services run twice a week, and brush is picked up on your second trash day (either Thursday or Friday). Please follow City Ordinance Sec. 7-4 Bundled trash and brush for residential collection if placing brush curbside for pickup.
- Sec. 7-4. –
In the event that trash is of such a nature that it cannot be placed in approved containers, it shall be placed in bundles or disposable containers having no outside dimension of more than four (4) feet and shall be placed for collection as provided in section 7-3 hereof. Brush shall be cut in lengths not to exceed four (4) feet and shall be trimmed and stacked at curbside or alley to a height of not more than three (3) feet, with larger ends placed toward the curb or alley. All vines and thorny bushes shall be placed in disposable containers. No bundle, container or other item shall weigh in excess of fifty (50) pounds.

Depending on your address, trash pickup with either be Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday.
Holiday Delays
All scheduled trash and recycling pickups will be delayed by one day for the entire week on the following holidays:
- May 25, 2026- Memorial Day
- September 7, 2026- Labor Day
All scheduled trash pickups will be delayed by one day for the second trash day (Thursday & Friday trash days) on the following holidays:
- November 26, 2026- Thanksgiving Day
- December 25, 2026- Christmas Day (FRIDAY ONLY)
- January 1, 2026- New Year’s Day
Large Item Pickup
The City offers two complimentary Large Item Pickup Days a year for citizens. These dates are scheduled in collaboration with Frontier Waste Solutions and will fall on your second trash day of the week, according to the schedule below.
The 2026 Large Item Pickup Days are:
- April 23, 2026 or April 24, 2026
- October 22, 2026 or October 23, 2026
Please limit the number of items placed curbside. Televisions & tires must be brought to the landfill to dispose of, and refrigerators must be tagged by a licensed professional to be picked up curbside. No hazardous waste is collected on these dates (see Hazardous Waste below).

Hazardous Waste
For disposal of hazardous waste, the City of Woodway coordinates with the City of Waco and other surrounding cities for an annual Household Hazardous Waste Day in the spring. Household Hazardous Day is typically the third Saturday of March, but the website will be updated with an official date. It will be located at the Waco Solid Waste Operations Center, 501 Schroeder Drive.
